We've come to expect a high degree of professionalism, superb videos, and in every annual collection, at least one very busty bikini idol from Miss Magazine and Japan's TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) over the years.
In past years, we've showcased Rio Natsume and Ourei Harada in productions in this series. Let's have a look at Yuri Kobayashi in the Miss Magazine 2005 DVD. After a rather nondescript though high spirited opening montage featuring all six of the Miss Magazine models for their 2005 DVDs, we finally freeze frame on Yuri so her DVD can commence. |

The first Yuri scene has the busty model in a yellow bikini on a parked bus. It's really just a director's trick-bag type of scene. It's very gimmicky, fast, fluid, fun, and yet ultimately frustrating because it is about what the director and editor deign to show us, rather than showing us what they know we really want.

OK. Don't despair. The next scene is a romp in the ocean. Yuri looks delicious in a boldly colored bikini which highlights her rich tan. So what beach are we seeing? This is the Great Barrier Reef — Palm Cove near Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia — The Outrigger Beach Club & Spa. Yes, we have product placements here at AoV. Just kidding. I'm told this is just a fabulous resort.

Yuri needs a soak in a sudsy bath-tub and we've been asked to come along. Check out that butt! And the bubbles, wow! Tell me this isn't inviting....

Yuri is quite personable. She speaks at length in the next scene. Sorry I can't translate for you. But her bathing suit is wonderful. Fast forwarding, the luscious Yuri looks great in the hotel pool in another boldly colored red bikini. This is one sweet water baby.
Every idol DVD seems to have a bedroom scene. Yuri joins the ranks. And why not? You can't watch a beauty like this for the better part of two-thirds of an hour without thinking about yourself, with this stunning woman, and a bed. Yes, it's but a dream. But isn't that why we watch the videos, or read about them. So we might dream again and with a new subject in the forefront of our imaginations.

I don't know a lot, but sometimes I'm disappointed when the lighting is too low, and you see her through some gauzy fabric. Your thought is that this could be done better. But as the music softly plays under the images, and you relax, the lust diminishes, and you come to the conclusion about how lucky you are to be seeing this visionary beauty in the first place. And then you can really appreciate her loveliness. The music is warm and inviting, her lips and breasts beckon, and before you know it, you're hooked into another fantasy.

Another segment to the interview comes next. I'm still captivated.
But lest I wax poetic endlessly, they pull you back into the video with a high powered, fast paced workout. Yuri is decked out in red, white, and blue. It's very small outfit, but it is stars and stripes. She works out with boxing gloves, a heavy bag, jump rope, and then the high steel of the gym equipment. You'll love the beaded sweat.
We next find Yuri deep in the forest. It's primordial, natural, and foreboding. It's also too dark. She's adorned in a black bikini. I thought this scene was cut too quickly between tracking shots and extremely close-ups. It's all beautifully done, but seems like the director wants you to watch what he's doing, and disregard the model in this interlude. Not a lot props from me on this scene.

Next is a cute scene which is included strictly for you to suspend disbelief. Yuri plays a nurse, and you play the patient. I promise you won't ever find a nurse wearing such a fine garment. Sorry, nurses don't wear such rich silk to work. In fact most women will never even own a silk this rich. Oh well, you can make believe.

| Yuri goes shopping! Yeah right! Imagine yourself at your local produce center. And this busty Japanese babe is shopping for red peppers, shiitake mushrooms, egg plants, before finally buying first a cucumber
— then a banana, both of which she has to bite into on the spot. Now it is the director who is exercising his imagination instead of you. Playful? Certainly. Overly long? Sad but true.
They bring down the curtain with Yuri showing off at the local billiards hall. Then we watch Yuri play a rousing game of air hockey. Despite that brevity of the video, it runs only about 43 minutes, I liked it. I'll forgive the tricks and fast cuts and super close-ups, and even the darkness. Yuri is just too cute. Four point zero is the score. |
