Gripe
Guy here;
I'm alive and well and working for the new
paper. So... it seems only fitting that I
complain about stuff here, too. Could
someone tell me... what's the deal with
people thinking porno is bad? I don't know
if this has happened to you, but just
because I happen to like porno mags, adult
stories, and adult videos, people think
I'm a pervert. These people, of course,
aren't my fellow BEA or be-buddies folk;
they're the so-called 'normal' people.
That's right; whether it be parents,
girlfriends, or even friends, they all
think I'm a weird-o just because I happen
to like porn. Well... I think they're the
ones who need to get their fucking heads
checked. For
starters, when did it become a crime to
think of a woman as an 'object'? Feminists
and porn-haters everywhere say that porn
makes men think of women as 'objects' and
not as 'real people'. I'd just like to
point out to these people that when any
guy, not just a porn reader, sees a
good-looking woman, they size her up and
check her out. Trust me when I say that
they certainly aren't checking out her
personality. I
have no problems with people who don't
want to look at porn; this is still a free
country. But when people want to stop me
from getting my porn, I get pissed. When
people accuse me of being strange just
because I like porn, I get pissed. After
all, what the hell is so wrong with
admiring the female form? The human
physical form has long been considered a
work of art. The
stupidest of all the ban-pornography
crusaders are the ones who say it is
against their religion to read porno,
therefore no one should have it. That
makes about as much sense as someone who
says that it is against his or her
religion for anyone NOT to read porno,
therefore everyone must read it. What I'm
trying to get at is that we all need to
just adopt a policy of "live and let
live". "Whatever floats your boat" is a
good all-around way we should all be
living. This applies to other things
besides porn as well. So... I'm signing
off this week with a big "fuck you" to
everyone out there that wants to tell me
that I can't watch porno. |
