Closeups of more detailed areas

Backstage Central (Uncle Sid's area)
- Sector Overview -

This area is described in detail in 131660 and 140199.

A couch was added in 178398 as being outside Sid's place, so I put it just outside the western fence.

According to 140333, one of the rooms at the back is Mirage's torture chamber -- but that was probably just a temporary creation of CMOT Dibbler...

The Hotel Gardens
- Sector Overview -

Backstage Garden described in 141347.

Nude Island

Nude Island described in detail in 152585.

The island is about a quarter-mile long, and lies about a quarter-mile offshore from the Ring, across from Restaurant Row.

The Strand (sunbathers' beach) is separated from the interior of the island by The Palms, which is a thin strip of palm trees. Among these trees are scattered Tryst Huts (see the episode for details).

Paradise Island

Described in episodes 170537 and 170539.

This island is actually twice the width of Nude Island; I had to reduce the scale to fit it on the page. A smaller image of Nude Island is placed next to it to show the relative size.

The nine streams on the island carve out nine vales; each vale is inhabited by a different group of Amazons. Only two groups have been identified so far.

(Maybe Deja Voodoo didn't mean for it to be quite this circular...)

Emergency Command
- Overview - Side View - Floor Assignments -

The first two levels were described in detail in 159627.

Presumably, levels 4, 7, and 10 have similar layouts to level 1.

The underground tunnel passes about 150 feet below Level 1. The double doors in the Entry Rooms connect "magically" to the outer double doors on Level 1.

Level 2 is at ground level; the West/East tunnels lead to the Toon Backstage and the First Backstage respectively.

The Forum in the Toon Backstage
- Sector Overview -

Described in 194883 as a plaza surrounded by pubs and watering holes, I was running out of space on the main Toon Backstage diagram so I brought it here. Only some of the establishments have been identified so far.

In 282768 were added Toonerism, Animo's, and the Blow-Up Clinic. There location was not specified, so I put them where I felt like they should go.

The Green Light District
- Overview -

The interior was described in 200307. The District is much larger on the inside than the outside -- about a mile square. Next to the main diagram is a to-scale depiction of the apparent size of the District from the outside (yes, it's quite a bit smaller!).

The District is divided into five regions by the main roads. The central region, The Colloseum (Colosseum? Coliseum?) is ruled by Dr. Lao from the Fighting Arena. The north-east and south-east regions are ruled from the Twin Pyramids by Dr. Schneider. The western regions, the Casbah and the Bazarre (Bazaar?) are divided into a number of small conflicting jurisdictions, ruled by various petty warlords and tyrants.

According to 200104 there is an Illuminati outpost in the Bazaar.

The Dead & Orphan Thread Forest

This diagram has been expanded and moved to the Ring Overview page.

Upper Level Cross-Section

This shows a standard cross-section of an Upper Level, based on existing information.  The floors of each Level are 60 feet apart.  The upper portion of each Level is filled with a golden mist, which gradually solidifies until it is firm enough to support the floor of the next Level.  The Suite walls may or may not go all the way up; I'm not sure if it's been specified already, but I assumed that they do so for privacy purposes.  It is possible some Suites have ceilings that block the view of the mists from their occupants.

Note that the vertical scale is approximately accurate (assuming a 6-foot-tall person), but no attempt was made to get the horizontal scale right.  This picture just gives you the general idea.

The Headwaters

Described in 298612, plus subsequent emails, this area is the source of the River of Dreams, the major river of the Backstage Ring.

The Isle is actually suspended in midair within a permanent orgone storm fixed in place between the two seas.
