JMB: Marcie tries to run for it

Shrieking at the top of her lungs, Marcie bolted past the football players and through the locker room doors. She wanted to vomit. She wanted to curl up into a ball and die. She want to run right back in there...

Out in the hall, she ran face first in Mr. Nadek, the team coach. She always liked Mr. Nadek. Everyone did. He had a kind smile and a fuzzy little mustache and respectable wire-frame glasses. He made gym class fun and ran the drama club and taught Spanish and he always made the extra effort to make shy k1ds like Marcie feel at home.

"Marcie, what's wrong?"

"The team..." Marcie sputtered out. "They just... just tried to... to..."

"Fuck your sweet little lips?" Mr. Nadek helpfully suggested

Marcie blinked. Mr. Nadek grabbed her by the collar, grabbed her like a naughty puppy, and pulled her back around into the locker room. The boys hung their heads in mock shame. It was all part of the game to them. Tears fell down Marcie's cheeks.

"Were you boys really going to let your bitch -- YOUR BITCH -- play these stupid games?"

"No, sir..."

Mr. Nadek's hands adjusted on Marcie's collar. "What do I say in the most important thing on the field?"

"Discipline, sir!"

"I think Miss Griggs is asking for..."
