It was good. But now what? That felt like the story momentum was mostly coming to a halt. No more needs to be said…unless Asuka finds the WP and starts using it, since she's the main unresolved element. Even with as messed up as they both are, this would count as a happy ending for Shinji and Rei.
True... this one was just particularly waffy smut and I didn't have any particular direction in mind to expand it, which is why all the options give the WP to some other character. I just think seeding a few happy ending palette cleanser episodes makes the inevitable really big porn chains more staisfying.
I wasn't sure anyone would actually take this route. But considering this a happy ending requires you to forget that Shinji's dick becomes useless when he's aroused. He must has a horrifying case of blue-balls by now. There is nothing happy about that, and it needs to be resolved.
Hmm... I'll bet on option 3. Its not impossible for Asuka to find happiness. But as the story stands right now, things will doubtlessly get worse before they get better.
There is plenty of potential drama and angst to write yet. (I know, fish-in-a-barrel 'cause its NGE) Also, somebody (I'm not pointing fingers) needs to work-in a joke about how Asuka is a selfish, arrogant bitch, unlike Shinji who is a whiny, self-pitying bitch.
It's a happy ending in that they've found happiness with each other. For NGE, that's huge. All it would need to be a complete Eva story is an epilogue where Asuka started using the WP, showing that the cycle of suck would continue.
The title for Evangelion 3.0 is You Can (Not) Redo. Seems like an appropriate name for this thread too.

Although, considering that Rei is a shemale/newhalf type of dickgirl, (i.e. no vag) making Asuka the same as her would create an obvious problem with her pregnant.
I know its stating the obvious, but maybe thats the part you're still working out. Unless you're going with the obvious solution of making Asuka a full hermaphrodite.

Well, the main reason I haven't gotten any further is because I've been wrapped up in seeing how many ways I can screw up poor Alane's life. But since Asuka is my second-favorite anime character, I wanna give her some love as well (if messing up her life further can be called "love"). Plus, I've never actually written Evangelion before, so I'm a bit hesitant.
Since your option didn't say that she wouldn't still have a vagina, I figured that if she had already written that she was carrying Rei's ch1ld, she would just end up as a pregnant futa. No testicles or clitoris, just the plug and the slot. But I figured that Asuka, Rei and Shinji could end up as this bizarre little family unit. Three freaks together against the world. Kind of sweet, no?
