Not that I really expect anyone else to do anything with this thread anyway. But it'll be enjoyable for me, at least!
And I just realized after posting that I only wrote one of the five choices correctly. "Were," not "was"! Baaaka.
Plus, I can't even count. Two of the five were correct (or three of the six, counting something else.)
Piddly little things, but all the more annoying to me because of that!
Fixed them. Though I think a lot of people would feel "was" was perfectly fine in that situation.
