Hex-Hopping Sharon: A Question of Precision

Unending BE - episode 837033

Given the scale of the map that Sharon was working with, she felt that she had done very well to materialise the ship at a point that was within about twenty yards of the beach. She wondered if it might have been better to have brought the ship to a point on land rather than on water. Probably not, even assuming that the box and globe would permit it, as it was possible that the ship would tip over on its side and perhaps be damaged.

The shore of the lake beneath the waterline must descend quite steeply, as the ship still seemed to be afloat. Sharon was afraid that if she went ashore to explore then it might drift away.

  1. Sharon returns to the green globe and finds a way of adjusting the scale of the map so that she can set her position more precisely.
  2. *Sharon manages to lower the ship's anchor.
  3. Sharon is a strong swimmer. She decides that the ship is unlikely to drift further out than she can swim.
  4. Something else.
