Pregnant Pause: Stocking up
Unending BE - episode 823044
"I think the first thing we should take care of is some grocery shopping." Jim said, tugging at his dress. It was purple with an empire waistline, the stretchy fabric tight around his belly, but the bust hanging a little loose. When compared to his belly, or Sharon's, his bust wasn't that large. "I don't want to be stuck ordering out every day... or eating cereal for breakfast and lunch."
"I agree. I like staying in and cooking, but this makes it a little tricky." Sharon ran her hand over her belly. Bumping into the stove, counter, or table with it in the way would put a damper on anything complicated. "Alright, so we'll get some things we can heat up and won't have to spend much time cleaning."
Since Jim's male shoes didn't fit his smaller feminine feet and he wasn't quite the same size as Sharon, he had to borrow some of her flip-flops. He was feeling a little exposed lower down with the dress and the lack of shoes or socks, but not as exposed as Sharon. Despite the facts she had put on socks and her comfiest pair of sneakers, the fabric of her dress was pulled up around her swollen midsection, leaving her legs bare from just above the knees. Luckily the weather was supposed to be nice.
Jim wouldn't have a problem being recognised, but Sharon did. As a disguise, she had pulled her hair back and tied it in pigtails - not a style you'd normally see her wearing in the office. She'd also put on a pair of oversized sunglasses. Hopefully this and the fact she was now suddenly nine months pregnant would make most people dismiss the resemblance.
Dressed and ready, they left Sharon's apartment for the nearest supermarket, which was a few blocks away. It was indeed a nice day out, and getting out of the apartment did feel good. It was still early, so there weren't too many people around, which Jim was glad for. He still felt strange waddling down the street in a dress and wasn't sure if he'd like being in a crowd like this. At least Sharon was with him.
Sharon seemed to notice his slight discomfort. "Hey, it could be worse. At least guys won't try to hit on you since you're knocked up." Then she smilled and added teasingly, "Unless they're into that sort of thing." Jim blushed a bit. He was one of those guys, and now look where he was!
"You're the one enjoying this too much, miss into this sort of thing." Jim teased back. If you can't beat 'em....
They arrived at the store and started touring frozen food, canned food, snacks... everything. They say you shouldn't shop on an empty stomach, but the apetite of two women with very full tummies shouldn't be reckoned with either. Before long their cart was full with enough food to feed a family - which wasn't far off from the truth right now.
As they were checking out, Jim realised something.
"How are we going to get all this stuff home? We can't carry half of it..."
