No offense, but I kinda went a different direction than this. I just couldn't quite figure out how to expand on your idea (though it is good, so if you want to elaborate some more, I may be able to work with it).
'Amilia' can always wish that she knows the abilities and weaknesses of any minion she creates.
On a different note, one of the options this route allows is for 'Ami' to contact the Sailors and warn them of something her computer detected but 'she can't help, her mom is making dinner for the two of them and she can't sneak away'.
This allows 'Amilia' to directly observe/interact with the Sailors while Mercury has an alibi.
