Crossover Carnival: Katara the fish-woman.

Once she was in the water, Katara took a deep breath. She could feel the water go into her mouth...then pushed out her gills, allowing her to take in the oxygen she needed. Running her hand along her head, Katara felt her completely bald head.

Hearing a tap on the glass, Katara saw Luna peering in at her, smiling brightly. Swimming over, Katara frowned harshly...well, the best she could with scales instead of soft, maliable skin. "Did you know this was going to happen?" she demanded.

Luna sprang back, falling over. "Incredible! I can actually hear you perfectly despite you being in the water!" she declared. Katara blinked. That was a bit strange...come to think of it, how could Katara hear Luna? "But to answer your question, no, I didn't. The carnival picks its members...for the most part. I, myself, signed up willingly...but you were probably selected the instant you walked in this tent."

Sighing, Katara stopped kicking. To her surprise, she floated in place, like a fish. Which meant she had a fish bladder...eww... Well, at least she didn't have to keep moving like a shark. ...how did she know what a shark was...? Or that a shark needed to keep moving.

She felt the tank shaking suddenly...looking around, she watched as the tank enlarged. Objects popped out of the ground, mostly objects for her to swim in and out of like a giant fish. A filter device grew on the side, allowing fresh water to be pumped in and the old dirty water to be sucked out.

Tapping her chin, Luna coiled in front of the tank. "Very interesting...looks like it's trying to make you at home here," she noted. Katara sighed. Well...she had to admit, the water felt pretty good. Hell, it felt very good. Nice and warm...and swimming was a lot of fun. "You're starting to feel it, aren't you?" Luna asked. "You're starting to enjoy it. That's how it works. They never change you into something that's miserable. You have no idea how good being under the sunlamp feels. Mmm...so divine!" She tittered happily.

Katara rolled her black eyes...like a doll's eyes. Well, maybe it wouldn't be so bad...hmm...now what should she do?

  1. Katara explores her new home.
  2. Katara learns about the adult acts when she spots Yuzu and Karin starting theirs.
  3. Toph gets to meet the other big top acts aside from the clowns.
  4. Speaking of the clowns...Ginny tries to spice things up between her and Kimmy.
  5. *Something else.
