Crossover Carnival: Glub-glub

Unending BE - episode 775122

Tilting her head, Katara bit her lip. She wasn't sure how to feel about the sight before her. The purple haired woman stared back at her from atop the bars she was scaling. The ch1ld was seemingly more trusting, being on ground level with Katara and reaching out to her. She looked like she wanted to play.

Tempting as it was to appease the ch1ld, Katara decided not to for two reasons. One was that she didn't know just what a wild ch1ld would consider to be "playing". The other was that the woman bared her teeth at her whenever she stepped closer to the cage then she already was.

"Yes, Raven has quite the charming personality, doesn't she?" a voice behind Katara said. Glancing behind her, Katara jumped. What the...?! It...it was some kind of...snake...person...thing! Katara couldn't come up with a name for it. It was obviously female. If she noticed Katara's fright, she showed no signs of it.

Instead she slithered a bit closer to the cage. "From what I've gathered, no one knows where Gwen came from. She was just...there one day," she mused. "Strange...but what isn't here? I'm Luna, by the way." Swallowing, Katara tried not to step back in alarm. "K...Katara," she replied.

Nodding, Luna slithered over to her stage. "Excuse me, it's a bit chilly over here..." she said before putting herself back under the heat lamp. "Aaah...anyway, if you've any questions, please feel free to ask. As you can imagine, Raven and Gwen don't make for good conversation. Rangiku is usually caught up in her audience and Yuzu and Karin tend to just talk to each other."

Katara slowed her breathing. It was okay...this...thing...Luna...seemed friendly. Of course she still looked like she could swallow Katara whole... It made her rather... Blinking, Katara approached a water tank. "Hey...what's that?" she asked Luna, pointing to an object in the tank. Luna slithered over. "Hmm...I can't tell. It's not vibrating and snakes don't see very well, I'm afraid."

Katara probably should have let it go...but she couldn't. She just couldn't. "Can you give me a boost?" Katara asked. Smiling, Luna did so, letting her climb in. "Well? What is it?" Luna asked as she picked it up. "It's...a scale I think," Katara replied, turning it over in her hand...before it disappeared into it. "H...hey!"

Luna clapped. "Oh, you've been selected to join the carnival! How nice!" Before Katara could ask what that meant, she began to feel strange...

  1. Katara's lower half become a fish tail, making her a classic mermaid.
  2. Similar to the above, but it's the less kid friendly type of mermaid. The meat eating kind. Fortunately she'll be well fed, so her singing will just be for the customers' amusement.
  3. *Katara becomes something akin to the gillman...only...you know...female.
  4. Katara actually becomes a water elemental. She didn't just live in the water...she WAS the water.
  5. Something else.
