Agorwch y drws!
Unending BE - episode 670952
Everyone in Aberystwyth knows that the funicular railway follows a rollercoaster path, unlike all other cliff railways. Most people in Aberystwyth have heard the rumours of a secret laboratory beneath the camera obscura to which the railway runs. And a few people have seen a solitary carriage ascend or decend the railway with no corresponding carriage on the other line.
But only geeky Gwynneth Morgan was clever enough to put this all together and realise that one of the dips in the railway line led to the entrance to Aberystwyth's biggest secret: the Institute of Cosmetic Viruses. And - she had a key.
She'd noticed and picked up the electronic key at the side of the line some months back without realising what it was. Now, on this moonlit Friday night, she climbed the still and silent railway to the place where it dips... and that was enough. The proximity of the key was detected, a section of hill and railway line hinged downwards, and she could walk straight in to the laboratory beneath the hill.
Gwynneth's heart was pounding as she crept into the vast laboratory. But she'd done her research, she'd watched the furtive comings and goings: and as she'd expected, the place was empty on a Friday night.
The door automatically closed behind her. The laboratory was lit only by dim security lights; she paused to let her eyes grow used to the light, then
- *found the catalogue of viruses, all designed to bring about changes to the body
- accidentally went in to a contaminated area
- was aware of someone else in the laboratory
- stole all the body-changing viruses to sell on the beach the next day
- (something else)
