"Damnit. Mr. Wanderer, can't you do something?" asked Shairon.
"Naw, this ain't a real emergency. And besides, yee've got all them fancy powers and whatnot, right?"
Cursing herself, Shairon raised a hand to the rocks and spoke "Arkin Sreth!"
The boulders did not move aside as she had specificaly commanded them to. Instead, the did the opposite, and merely rested there.
Roijita had been thinking this whole time, and suddenly realised something. "This was no accident."
"Huh?" Shairon asked, while the cowboy just smiled and nodded knowingly.
"We are on top of a cliff. So how did rocks fall down to block our paths?"
We put them there!
Both Shairon and the cowboy looked up on top of the rockslide to where the voices came from. Roijita stared at them puzzledly, then followed their gaze. Three cloaked figures stood on the pile of rocks. What was weird about them was that although their cloaks were pitch black, Shairon could see right through to the white inside. How? Not a single one of them had a face. They had eyes and a nose where they should be, but no mouth, nor head.
Your people cursed us Voiceless Ones thousands of years ago, and now we shall capture each and every one of you to put it right!
Shairon realised why Roijita couldn't understand them; they had no voice. Instead, they seemed to comunicate through body language alone. How they learned to project body language to someone who wasn't looking, Shairon could only assume came with thousands of years of practice, but it meant that her power as a Demoneyos was solely based on language.
"And what makes you think I'm going to come along quietly?"
Our recent discovery which coats this landslide. It's immune to your powers, and seeps them rather quickly. You should be fainting any time now.
