K^2: Escape to Kerry's

Unending BE - episode 590618

Kerry Kidd-Karr sat on her couch in shock. Over the course of an hour, her cousins Katherine, Kathleen, Kristen, and Karen had arrived, bringing with them an exhausted geek named Jim, a wild-but-given-the-evidence-believable story about expanding breasts, and cable news stories about near-martial-law conditions in a nearby state. Kath, Leenie, and Kris looked fantastic, if a little cheap, with the skimpy dresses showing off their new curves. Karen seemed almost envious of her transformed sisters, while Kerry...Kerry kept thinking about her father. He was dead now, but he had been strict about her clothes and behavior and she knew her uncle had been less so with her cousins. Was that it? Was that why they accepted such dramatic changes so readily?

Kerry looked around the room. Kathleen was watching news on the TV while talking to some of her colleagues on her cell. Katherine was flirting with Jim: she kept turning and grabbing his hand as if to make him grab her butt. Kerry shook her head. Kristen was also on a cell, apparently talking to her secretary. Karen sat in a chair with a spare dress in her lap, fingering the shiny cloth. Kerry walked over and sat on the chair's arm. She said "Kar, do you have a minute?"

Karen looked at her cousin. "Of course, Ker. It's been great the way you let took us all in. What's up?"

"Frank's working late tonight, but Kalliope will be home from cheerleading practice soon and I'm not so happy about her seeing her aunts like this. She's only 16 and I worry about the way our culture makes girls self-conscious about their bodies. I didn't want her to be a cheerleader but she insisted. I don't like her cheerleader friends, and her are her aunts dressed worse than cheerleaders - more like strippers."

  1. Karen agrees and tries to herd her sisters out of the house.
