"Ahem."
The Phantom Knocker turned around. From the opposite direction approached another Telepresence machine, identical to the first one, rolling soundlessly on its rubber tyres.
"I see you've met my Evil Twin," it spoke, and even its voice was the same as the first machine. "I sometimes think he was put here to remind me of the futility of my search for consistency, by continually pointing out how inconsistent I am."
"I am not inconsistent!" retorted the first machine. "And it is you who are the Evil Twin, not me!"
"See how contradictory he is?" pointed out the second machine. "Always contradict, contradict, contradict."
"I am not contradictory!" contradicted the first machine.
"See? There you go, doing it again. But enough about us," said the second machine, swivelling towards the translucent apparation of the Phantom Knocker. "What about you?"
"Yes, what about you?" echoed the first machine, not to be outdone. "Let us show you some scenarios on our monitors..."
