The light dissipated, and the two men found themselves in a dark, dank, cluttered basement.

"This is..?" Villion asked in wonder.

"Right," Gambit replied. "Jim's basement." Villion gazed about at the technological wonders scattered about the room.

"It makes sense," Villion said thoughtfully. "Truly, Jim is the lynchpin of the Addventure. He was the first, after all."

"Uh huh," Gambit said absently as he perused the junk that filled the basement.

"Yes," Villion said. He hefted some sort of ray-gun, testing its balance. "With technology such as this, all the Addventure will be mine. My power will be unimaginable!" Gambit rolled his eyes at Villion's speech.

"You villain types are all the same," he said. "It's always about the power."

"Power makes the world go round," Villion said with a wicked smile. He aimed the ray-gun at Gambit. "And I won't share that power with anyone."

  1. *Villion shoots Gambit with the ray-gun.
  2. Gambit nimbly avoids Villion's attack.
  3. *The gun doesn't work.
  4. *Another Author arrives.
  5. Someone upstairs hears the commotion and comes down to check.
  6. Something else.
