As they rested, they pondered their next course of action. Stairs led down to the other side of the mountain, while another set of stairs continued to the top of the mountain. Really, they had no idea which choice would be better, since they had no idea where they were. They had run away from the strange obelisk in the forest. Before that, Jim had found Sharon sleeping in a bed in a meadow. And before that Jim had awoken ontop of a flower covered hill. They could be anywhere, but the whole setting seemed so surreal.
Of course, being in their underwear didn't help matters. Jim was sitting in his boxer shorts, while Sharon was now only wearing a pair of black panties, after her teddy exploded when her breasts were enlarged.
Before they could make up their mind what direction to go in, a stranger appeared. He, too, was wearing only underwear. Sean, appearing here from episode 311000, had been stripped down to his briefs by some overly excited cheerleaders, and hadn't managed to find more clothes before suddenly finding himself in another 1000-episode. "Hi, Jim. Hi, Sharon," Sean said as he spotted the two.
Jim and Sharon looked at each other. "Do you know him?" Sharon asked, as she did her best to cover her naked breasts with her arms (though she couldn't quite reach around them).
"Uh-uh," Jim replied. "And look, he's holding a gun!"
"You know, I can hear you," Sean told them. "I guess we haven't been introduced in this reality yet. My name's Sean, but don't worry, I probably won't be here long. I seem to keep vanishing and reappearing in different realities."
"Well maybe you can help us with our dilemna," Jiim told him. "We've got a hard decision to make."
"Yeah, that's typical," Sean replied. "Where-ever you go, you'll find that there are usually anywhere from two to five choices to choose from. So what's the situation now?"
"We could either go up the stairs to the top of the mountain. Or we could down the stairs to the other side."
"What's on top of the mountain?" Sean asked.
"We don't know."
"And what's down on the other side of the mountain?" Sean asked.
"We don't know."
"Ah. I see. One of those situations where whatever you choose might be the wrong choice. Like, if you go down to the other side of the mountain, you might find a horde of oversexed female leprechauns who want to use their magical powers to do all sorts of weird things to you. But if you go up the mountain, the leprechauns would be waiting for you there. But of course, if you went down the mountain and found the leprechauns and then went back up the mountain, there'd be something completely different up there, like maybe a mystical genie who would grant all your sexual wishes."
"So, we should go down the mountain, find the leprechauns, flee from them, and then go up the mountain to find the genie?"
"That's just an example," Sean replied. "It might not be anything like that at all. Basically, if the creators wish to screw you, you're going to be screwed. Unless... unless you try something completely unexpected. Something else, you might say. For example, what if you just went back the way you came?"
"NOOOOO!" Sharon yelled. "We won't be doing that. My breasts are big enough, thanks."
"Well, that's just one suggestion. You could try doing something really weird. Like jumping off the mountain, only to discover that you can fly. Or try casting magic spells, and maybe they actually work..."
"Magic spells?" Jim asked, somewhat incredulous. "You don't expect that to work, do you?"
"Of course not, but because it's the unexpected it might work anyway. 'Expect the unexpected' and all that."
