"Well, there's a bedroom upstairs or the couch in the basement turns into a bed. It's up to the two of you who takes which."
Celene volunteered to take the basement. "You should get something for winning the contest," she smirked, "Might as well take the better bed!" Emma giggled at that, although she eyed Krista suspiciously at mention of the contest.
Emily helped Emma get her suitcase upstairs while Krista led Celene to the basement. The others were left to think of some activity for the evening to entertain their guests.
Downstairs, well out of Emma's earshot, Celene said "It's great to see you again and meet your pack, uh, friends."
"You can call us a pack," Krista said, "We do. Just... not in from of Emma. You're right, I think she does know something. Did you see the way she eyed me up there?"
"Yeah, it was hard not to miss. She wants her prize bad."
"That brings me to a question of my own. When are you going to change me? I mean, if you're still planning to."
"The next full moon is in two weeks. If Emma's still around then one of my packmates will use the silver bracelet I told you about and take her out for the evening. The rest of us will go to the forest and, well, let's just say a good time will be had by all."
Celene smiled. "I think I get your drift."
Meanwhile, upstairs, Emma was engaging Lisa in seemingly innocent conversation that was taking a not-so-innocent turn. After practically giving Lisa the third degree on how long she'd known Krista, why they lived out in the middle of nowhere, and other questions that Lisa had been able to evade or give convincing answers, Emma asked...
