Adelaide read their draft of an ad with wry skepticism. "All right, let's get this straight. 'Two horny goodlooking young studs will service any woman for up to an entire night for 20 dollars each. Call Boners Till Dawn ... '" She shook her head.
"Too dirty?" worried Jim.
"Oh, no, our female readers like our paper to be as smutty as possible. No, it's just that ... this is unprecedented, that's all. I mean, if I may say so, this is a girl's dream!" She gave the two a long sly look. "You two wouldn't go scamming woman or breaking our hearts, would you? I mean, you do call yourselves Boners Till Dawn. If you could stay up and at it till dawn ... that would be an incredible claim!"
"We would work together and keep trading off," explained Rick.
"Yeah, but still ... " She shrugged. "All right, then! Consider this ad entered."
Back at the house, Jim and Rick had a quiet celebration.
"You know what?" said Jim. "We'll have to record a new message on the answering machine, to greet callers properly, and we've got to do it before the paper goes out tomorrow morning."
The doorbell rang. Jim sprang to answer it.
Jim and Rick were very pleasantly surprised to see Adelaide again. She took a seat.
"I've been thinking ... a lot ... about your ad all afternoon," said Adelaide. "You know, I do have the discretion of playing up an ad, giving it a bolder font or a border that helps it to really, um ... stick out. I would consider doing that for Boners Till Dawn, but I would need to be certain that I'm helping out a really good business." She reached into her purse and took out two twenties. "Can I be your first customer? Please?"
