"If you're trying to tell me that you've changed too, then you're lying. You look just as you always have - well, always since you became pregnant. And I know that you've never forgiven me for getting you pregnant. You kept on muttering about how men would be more careful if they could get pregnant too. This must be your revenge."

"Don't be ridiculous. That's totally paranoid, not to mention based on a false memory. Besides, even if I'd wanted to, how the hell could I change your gender and make you pregnant?"

  1. "I don't know how, but I'm sure that it was your doing."
  2. "You're a brilliant enough witch to have done it." Today is just one surprise after another, Sharon thought, surprised at how calmly she was taking all this.
