The old movie theater stood there, abandoned, derelict after being left alone for decades. Tattered posters still clung to box office, advertising old movies. Doors were all boarded up, windows either shattered or covered by plywood. No one was too sure why it had been closed. In its prime, it attracted people from all around the countryside. Rumors said that the owner had been murdered there, by an angry usher, his wife, or even someone else. And of course rumors became legends, and legends grew to myth...

No one went in there. Not even people trying to find some peace and quiet. The house had been on the block for years, without any buyers.

So that was why to the local's amazement, someone actually bought the place.

Actually it was a couple, who had driven by it for years, always raising their interest in it, though it wasn't until they had enough money saved up that they bought it.

"Isn't it great honey?" Maggie Ross asked her husband Jake, "we'll be able to run our own theater." Jake, a former architect, nodded, "I already managed to dig out the blueprints for the place. A few renovations, some new paint, and we'll be open for business."

Unknowingly, both of them (in their '93 Blue Ford Pinto) were driving to their destinies. Of course, it is up to you the reader/author to determine what it is.

  1. They reach the theater unharmed. What waits inside for them is another story...
  2. Some trouble occurs, and they are pulled aside.
  3. Of course, something else hapens to them, as they drive down the road to oblivion...
