"I will make you the same offer than was made to me so long ago. Do you wish to hunt down evil and darkness wherever it may dwell?"
Katherine thought it over, remembering how much the darkness had twisted her own life. Others weren’t so lucky. She had to do what she could to help them.
“I accept,” she said.
One month after escaping from St. Luther’s Medical Center (and faking her death, though Sam and Candace knew better), Katherine had completed her training, and was ready to be indoctrinated as a full-fledged Demon Hunter.
“Katherine Barber,” the Chief Hunter spoke, “do you pledge upon your immortal soul to uphold goodness and faith within your heart, to aid those in supernatural danger, and to tirelessly seek and dispel evil, no matter where it be or what form it may take?”
“On my immortal soul, I so swear,” she said confidently.
“Then by the powers granted to me by the Demon Hunter’s Collective, I grant you the title of Demon Hunter, and all the rights and responsibilities threrof.”
“Thank you,” she said proudly.
“Now, before your fellow Hunters, tell us the code name you have chosen, and the creed you shall follow.”
Katherine turned around to face the assembled, her fellow Hunters, and said…
