Vendetta reached into his jacket and removed a flask of liquid. “Drink this,” he said.

Katherine looked it over, examining the clear fluid inside the stoppered bottle. “What will this do?”

“It’s holy water. That will start the process. Beyond that, it’s up to you.”

Katherine carefully pulled out the stopper, and sniffed the contents. She smelled nothing.

She sighed, and smiled as she held up the small bottle. “To a pure soul,” she said, raising the bottle to her lips…
