Just when all seemed calm for a moment, a wererat pointed at the group and shouted "Humans!"

The cry echoed all around him as the other residents took up the cry, some in shock and some in anger.

"Humans?!"

"Humans!"

"Humans???"

"They're real?!"

"Run away!!! Before they bite you!!!"

The crowd began to scatter, and before the long the street was cleared except for our group.

"What's the deal?" Nathan asked.

"It would seem," Beth said, "That they fear humans."

"Maybe if you bite them, they become human," Morgan said, "Like the reverse of how things work back home."

Suddenly the group was interrupted by a voice saying, "Excuse me, but..."

  1. "Could one of you humans bite me? I don't like being a werehamster."
  2. "I'm afraid you humans will have to die. Nothing personal, of course."
  3. *"You humans better get off the streets before the Human Patrol comes."
  4. "The others have sent me to negotiate. What is it that you want?"
