Sharon sighed and leaned back on her scaly elbows. Her full breasts remained still, even when she arched her back further than would be possible for anyone without a bendable spine, and she noticed the thinner scales that had grown to cover her nipples. Experimentally, she flicked her serpentine tongue over them, and felt them to be every bit as sensitive as before, perhaps more so.
Sharon had only started gleefully twisting and coiling her great serpentine body when she felt an itchy sensation in her neck. It quickly spread along the sides of her head, and over her face.
“What’s-s-s happening to us-s-s?” Sharon hissed. The changes were no longer something to fear, but something to savor.
We are nearly complete. Our face is changing.
Sharon could feel a separation in her eyelids, and blinked. Twice. A clear set slid down over her eyes, allowing her to see heat. Her second set was only slightly scaled. She blinked both pairs once, and opened them to reveal blue eyes, surrounded by a sea of yellow. The irises were quickly swallowed by the yellow, which seemed to grasp her pupils and compress them into vertical slits. Sharon looked at the world through snake’s eyes, and liked what she saw.
She felt her ears and nose sink into her face. Long ago, with the development of her forked tongue and enhanced sense of taste, she had lost the ability to smell anything. She decided she wouldn’t miss her nose, and she still seemed able to hear without external ears.
“Exquis-s-site,” she hissed. Sharon received no reply, leading her to believe that the snake was completely merged with her mind. Seconds later, she realized for truth that this was the case.
Slowly, delicately, the brown scales slid along her cheeks and lips, then across her molting eyebrows to her scalp. Her face was soon as scaly as the rest of her body.
Sharon felt her mouth distending into a cruel smile. Her face began pushing away from her skull as her jawbones grew outward, rotating her eyes slightly to the side. She hissed and let her jaws go wide and slack, feeling her serpentine snout form completely.
When the transformation (the last part, she instinctively knew) was finished, Sharon resembled nothing less than a giant coppery-brown snake, with scaly arms and breasts, crowned by a nest of poisonous serpents. She knew not to bother speaking to the snake inside her, for she was the snake.
Sharon decided that her human life had been shed, as she would shed old skin, and chose the name Serpentina for her new life as a Snakewoman. Ready to embrace her new life, Serpentina coiled herself upright and slithered from the cave.
