Katherine was ready to roll again when there came a knock at the door. She opened it warily and found her sorority sister Samantha (in her mortal guise) at the doorstep.

"Sam! How did you get here? How'd you even know I was here?"

"Uh, just lucky I guess," Samantha replied.

"We have to get out of here. Something evil is going on. You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Listen, something's happened," Samantha said, leading into her own story of personal changes.

"Tell me when we're on the road," Katherine said, grabbing her friend's hand and leading her outside.
