Sharon and Charlotte: Half-dragonesses on Earth.

Sharon stirred gently awake from a marvelous dream, filled with dragon mating and her body changing. She opened her eyes, and slowly focused on her blue scales and hooking talons. She smiled.

“S-Sharon?” The voice was very familiar.

“Charlotte? Is that you?”

The red-winged, fully scaled woman before her was crouched by an outcropping of rock. She looked like she wanted to cry, but no tears came forth. “Sharon…I’m so sorry…”

The half-dragoness looked confused, until the young woman explained everything: the proposal and her refusal, the runes, their banishment.

Sharon moved her still-massive frame over to her. Gently, she stroked the edge of a talon along the cheek scales of her friend. “It’s okay, Charlotte. We’ll find a way back.”

The woman nodded. She understood now why Charlotte couldn’t cry: as a creature of fire, she had no tears to shed. Sharon, as a creature of water, had too many, and could not stop them from flowing.

They held each other a while, content to share the company. Every once in a while, one would reach out and comfort the other, sometimes with friendly pats, other times with caresses reserved for family or lovers.

Sharon broke the silence, hours later. “We seem to be back in the cave where we met Nobakai. This must be the extent of their influence on Earth.”

Charlotte’s reptilian eyes, now fiery red except for the slit pupil, literally lit up. “Then his treasure chamber might still be here! And the lake, too! You might be able to finish your transformation!”

Sharon nodded. “And yours, too.”

Charlotte shook her head. “It’d be like poison to me. I’m more red dragoness than blue. I have ideas, though.” She stood, as tall as Sharon was squatting.

They high-fived and clasped hands, as best they could with the size difference. To both their surprise, Charlotte leaned in and kissed Sharon, lingering a bit on her blue scaly lips.

The red would-be dragoness smirked afterwards. “By the way, I’m bi. Been wanting to do that for a while.”

Sharon nodded. “Let’s go.” They walked hand in hand, through Nobakai’s former home, toward his treasure vault.

1. The vault is intact, and Sharon is still able to open it.

3. The vault is gone!
4. The vault is intact, but two humans are robbing it!
5. Another dragon (not necesarily the same color) has moved in during Nobakai's absence!
6. Something surprising is discovered...
