Jim nodded. “Okay. That’ll give me some time to make more antidote.”
Nora smiled. “Cool. Hey, can I ask you something?”
“Uh, sure. Let’s do it on the road, though.” He motioned toward his Blazer, parked in a lot next to the Mall proper.
Quickly, they snuck through the few bushes and high walls between them and the truck. Amazingly enough, they reached it without incident.
“There’s a spare jeans jacket in the back. Hopefully it’ll fit.”
“Gracias,” Nora nodded, crawling over the seat to retrieve it. She gave him a nice view of her privates, and Jim was glad he put up the cash to have his windows tinted.
“Um, you, uh, had something to ask me?” Jim stammered, starting the engine and pulling onto a side road.
Nora smiled. “Yeah. What that woman said about the formulas. Was it true? Did you make the werewolves?”
Jim gave a guilty look, and silently nodded. “I just wanted to make some perfume for my girlfriend. First she went up about four cup sizes, then about a half-hour later, she turned into a werewolf. Her sister got accidentally splashed with a larger dose. She changed in less than a minute.”
The brunette nodded, tugging at the jacket. It was big enough to just barely cover her nipples, and not much else. “I want to ask a favor.”
Jim gave her a quizzical look. “Yeah?”
“When this is over, do you think you could…well, make a formula between the two? You know, that combined both, so someone could shift forms without losing control?”
Jim shrugged. “Probably, but why?”
Nora smirked. “Guess.”
“You liked being a werewolf that much?”
She nodded. “I loved it. I’ve dreamed about changing for years. I’ve never felt so liberated.”
The Blazer pulled into Jim’s driveway. “We’ll talk about it later. Right now, the antidote comes first.”
A few hours later, Nora was clothed (thanks to a quick and very vague call to her sister, Evelyn), and Jim had enough antidote whipped up to affect all the werewolves.
“They’ve already been partially exposed,” he said, measuring out a bottle of the bubble-gum solution. “They shouldn’t need much more to finish the job.”
They packed flashlights and the bottles into a black backpack, and began plotting out their next move.
