Jim stared down the gauntlet of at least fifty very pissed off naked women. Some were screaming about losing their male parts, others about being turned into animals, and still others were angry with Jim after putting two and two together.
“You just happened to show up here with antidote, and you knew about the werewolves,” one of the older women scowled. “That tells me you must have had something to do with those others!”
“Get him, girls!” The mob rushed the young chemist, who had only an empty Super Soaker to defend himself with.
The lead woman was about to get within punching distance of Jim when a young brunette woman blocked her off. She swung a heavy pipe toward the frenzied crowd, who seemed at this moment almost as vicious as when they were werewolves.
She looked back at the stunned Jim. “Um, are you planning to bail, or what?”
Jim nodded in shocked agreement, and slowly began edging his way toward the loading dock. The brunette followed in front of him, putting herself between Jim and the angry women. They bailed away from the dock area, still unguarded by police, and headed for the hills. The crowd of women ran toward the front of the mall, covering themselves as best they could in their run toward the authorities.
Jim and the woman breathed a sigh of relief once they were out of sight. “Thanks, um…”
She smiled. “Nora.” She wasn’t even making an effort to cover her nakedness.
Jim nodded. “Nora. Appreciate that, saving my bacon and all. Why’d you do it?”
She shrugged. “I’ve always had a thing for werewolves. I
guess I have you to thank for getting to be one.” She gave him a peck on the cheek.
Jim blushed slightly, glad that
“Oh, shit! My girlfriend and her sister are still in there! They may still be werewolves!”
Nora nodded. “No prob. I’ve got an ace up my sleeve…well, I don’t have sleeves, but anyway…”
