The Start of a Strange New Day for Jim

A swirly cloud of something that looked like fog filled the room, and then faded into the night. A person lay sleeping in a bed, covers pulled up to his chin. The clock next to the bed showed "6:59", then quietly flipped to "7:00" and began to beep.

Jim was asleep, and right in the middle of a very exiting dream, when the loud beeping of the alarm woke him up. Jim blinked his eyes a few times, rolled over and turned off the alarm. He lay there in bed for a moment, remembering what he was supposed to do today. Whatever it was, it had to be better than yesterday, he thought - today is a brand new day!

But he couldn't help but think things might get strange today.

  1. remembered it was his girlfriend's birthday.......but that was a strange request that she had asked of him
  2. he desided to go back to sleep but he noticed that some of the things in his dreams had seemed to come true in his real life
  3. heard his mother telling him he was going to be late for school and his nerves hit him full force as he thought of the class project that he was going to present today
  4. *suddenly realized he wasn't alone in his bed
  5. *became aware that he was not in his bedroom
  6. something truely bizare had happend
