Just as Rick finished speaking, Brad and Jim felt a warm tingling sensation. Sharon, Candace, and Brenda also felt it, but having animalistic minds, didn't know what to make of it. Suddenly, Brad and Jim knew. Deep within the recesses of their mind, they knew the secret of Hill House. Back, before the War Between the States, a Mr. Hill inherited an ancient Egyptian spellbook from an archeologist collegue. After much study, he discovered how to work one of the spells, called "Pharoh's Pleasure". It gave him the wishing power. Everything he wished for, wether stated explicitly or subconscious came true. It slowly drove him insane. Eventually, he locked himself away in this house, never to be seen again. They also knew, or rather sensed, that his spirit has not left. Ware the wishing power. No wish, however unintentional, can be undone completely.

As understanding dawned, Jim and Brad glanced at each other in trepidation. Rick nodded. "Now you understand. I gave you this so that we could balance our power. I hope."

  1. *Rick says "I wish that none of us could leave this house without giving up their power for the duration of their absence. If we keep the power here, we will be less likely to unleash unintended wishes on the world."
  2. Brad looks puzzled. "I DON'T understand. We have unlimited power, right? This is great! I wish...."
  3. *A bucket of oats appeared in front of Sharon. She looked suprised, then bent down to eat.
