It wasmorning and the group decided it was time to split up in order to search for Jim and Meiou. Rick, who was still drssed as Sasha, had been angry with the group for not beginnig the search sooner. Rachel promised that she would remain focused on finding the others once Cheyenne got back from her house. She needed a few things that in her haste sha had left behind. Shade and Alex had already left earlier in the day, teleporting to Shade's place. Rick, as Sasha and Rachel as ALuara went down to eat some breakfast.
Cheyenne, undisguised, pulled up to her house just as the sun was beginning to rise. She got out of her Satsumara Spectre and took a long, deep, breath. When all of this was said and done, she was going to have to sell this house. It had to many wierd and bad memories now. She walked up to the front door and unlocked it. She tossed the keys onto a nearby hall table and proceeded to climb the stairs to her room. She was halfway down the narrow hall when she heard sobbing from her bedroom.
Cheyenne's first instinct was to run out of the house and head back to the hotel, but she was curious. The sobbing sounded awfully familiar and she had to see who it was. She crept up to the edge of the doorframe, and tried her best to pear inside without being seen. She suppressed a small gasp when she looked inside the room.
Sitting on the edge of the bed was herself. She was holding the broken picture that showed herself and Austin when things were better. There were a couple of whiskey bottles, empty, on the floor at the feet of this Cheyenne. Her mane was messy, and her eyes were red from booze and crying. She was wearing faded jeans, a white blouse, and her favorite jacket. A western style, artificial suede, with fringes. Austin had always said it was his favorite because it made her look like a country singer. Cheyenne was looking at herself with a hangover, and it wasn't a pretty sight.
The other Cheyenne continued to cry and had not seen the real Cheyenne in the doorway. Th real Cheyenne looked down at her dresser and could see some of the things she had gone back to get. He purse had been dumped out and her liscense, checkbook, and her savings account book were all out on the table. There was a small pile of cash as well, everything that Cheyenne had hidden in her own seperate savings account. She had done that becasue Austin was fond of taking her money. Cheyenne began to feel frightened as she started to put two and two together.
The mare on the bed picked up a whiskey bottle and brought it to her lips. She began to take a long pull from the bottle and she noticed the real Cheyenne in the doorway. She slowly put the bottle down and stood up, swaying slightly as she was drunk. The real Cheyenne found herself rooted to the spot as the fake Cheyenne began to remove her jacket and pull the snaps open on her blouse. "Cheyenne?", she said. "I found out how you tricked me.", the fake Cheyenne sounded tired and old. "I found your costumes in the closet. Including this one." the phony Cheyenne reached up to her neck and worked out the zipper tab and pulled it down her body with a loud buzz. Austin threw off the costume and Cheyenne's head and upper body hung limply around his waste, her golden tresses dragging on the floor. Austin didn't bother to remove the jeans, so the image was rather odd. A well muscled black male horse perched atop the more slender and feminized form of Cheyenne's lower body and legs.
Cheyenne stared in horror as her ex-boyfriend had returned again to torment her. She was hoping that it wasn't really Austin, just Jim or someone playing a trick, but she new the Austin suit was at the hotel, she had worn it for Alex. Then...
