Razor walked into what served as the dining room and stopped when he saw the older vixen who was having a heated discussion with Jenny. "Am I interrupting something?", he asked.
"Oh no, not at all Razor.", said Jenny with a smile, "This is Andrea, my adoptive mother."
Razor smiled and nodded at the very proper looking vixen. "It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am", he said. She returned his smile coldly and extended her hand in a feminine offer of a handshake. Razor took it gently and gave it barely a squeeze. He was not bothered by Andrea's condescending manner. Razor knew he was of low breeding and was used to this type of treatment. It was just something to be expected.
Jenny served dinner, and the polite conversation turned to other matters. Eventually, Andrea excused herself saying that she had to get back to Dark's in order to take care of some pressing business. When Andrea showed herself to the door of the horridly dirty, and spartanly apointed factory building, it seemed as if a chill left with her.
Razor looked at Jenny who was trying to busy herself with straightening up the dinner mess. Razor couldn't help but feel attraction and , dare he think it, love, for his mentor. He was about to say something, but let the thought die on his lips. He was a baseborn, professional duelist and student. Jenny couldn't possibly be interested in him more than as a talented pupil of swordsmanship. The unspoken desire for something more profound remained stillborn in his mouth. It left a sour taste and he silently went about helping Jenny with the dishes...
