Reynard stalked into the room and got right in Shadow's face. "You don't get it do you Shadow? You're always playing both sides of this conflict and never ever getting your hands dirty. You always seem to come out on top with a little cash tucked away for later."
Shadow lowered his brow and looked at Reynard hard. "There is no harm in seeking a little profit here and there. I am an interested, neutral party in all of this.", said Shadow quietly but firmly.
"You don't sound so neutral now that you and Raven are going to go back in time to sieze control of the only firm that pioneered genetic engineering as we know it. The same company that enabled all of us to exist! What are you going to do to our history when you start f*cking around with it!"
"Why did you try to kill me at Mentem Micronics Reynard?", asked Raven who was still dressed as Cindy. Reynard gave her a wicked grin and then got into her face. "Who's to know it was really you. I've known you to send duplicates of yourself out to perform missions. That's how you got such a legendary reputation."
Raven, inside Cindy, winced. "What's wrong sis?", jeered Reynard. "Don't you like it when someone exposes your secrets?" Reynard was enjoying watching his siter squirm. "I am the better assassin and I should know." Reynard reached up and grabbed a tuft of his fur on his head and pulled off his mask revealing a copy of Raven Foxcloud. "I've been impersonating you and doing your wetwork for years, under your direction." Reynard pulled off the Raven mask and tossed it aside revealing himself. "Well no more, I'm going to tell Dark and Andrea that you are a fraud and that I've been their star assassin and take my rightful place in the order." Reynard turned away and paused in the doorway as if he had an afterthought. "By the way, I can't have you folowing me so...", Reynard pulled a H&K .45 ACP from his pocket and shot Shadow in the stomach. Shadow collapsed to the ground and lay on his back holding his stomach. Raven gasped and raced over to him, cradling his head and crying. Shadow was gutshot and would surely die if he didn't recieve magical aid. Both had exhausted their magic in their foolish duel.
"See you around sis.", said Reynard as he stalked away into the shadows...
