She glanced down at the prince, who was once again riding in her breast pocket. "Ready, loverboy?"
The prince blushed. "If you truly think that this is the door..."
She nodded and pushed it open. Sunlight and fresh air swirled into the basement instantly, stirring up great clouds of dust and causing Jim to sneeze explosively. When she regained her balance, she saw that the door opened up to a grass-filled grove in the middle of a tiny forest, on scale with the prince in her pocket. The tallest of the trees came up no higher then her knee, with most far below it, and the birds that flitted between them looked the size of flies. She smiled happily. "What a cute kingdom!"
The prince blinked. "Yes, I suppose it is... cute."
She marched forward into the grove, gripping one of the trees and pulling it up by its roots. "Everything is so small! I could have a lot of fun here." She turned to look back at the door, which was floating with no visible means of support. Walking around it, she saw that it was invisible from the back, though from the front it still seemed to lead back into the basement. "Hopefully I can remember where this is to get home. Oh well." She closed it carefully, then turned back to the forest around her. "Now, which way is your castle?"
