Originally it was both a reference to the Sailor Moon character Tuxedo Kamen as well as that i was going to try and write something a bit classier (ie:plot-driven) than the frequent "you've enlarged my breasts, now let's have sex" episodes. Maybe i've succeeded, maybe not. i also wanted to distance this from my regular fiction.
How did someone who admits to not having a large breast fetish get involved in the BEAddventure anyway?
Dave, who goes by the handle Tag or Gary S among others, ran across this site awhile back when the anime club was going full swing. He'd bring me the Pokewomon ideas i'd fire a few back and he'd go up and write them. After awhile i got curious and started posting my own.
What do you think of the recent infestation of KoTF on the Addventure?
i think their spelling mainly speaks for itself. Frankly, i can't stand the usual Ranma fanfic 'Akane is a perfect goddess and can do no wrong' and 'anything other than an Akane+Ranma pairing is a darkfic' mentality. Though there are just plain bad authors all over the place, most of them seem to take to the KoTF as soon as possible. There's some pretty bad Ukyo+Ranma writers out there, and the whole 'Ranma accepts his female side and starts dating boys and his life suddenly becomes better' sub-genre is pretty much synonomous with bad writing.
Or the ones where Akane and Ranma are the same sex and decide Lesbianism (or when Akane was born male- gay) is the only right thing to do and they fall instantly in love?
(gag!) You've got that right. i'd almost forgotten about those. Though i mainly got into this Addventure for the pokewomon and then i started Wild Horses because the episodic round robin of the Addventure made it difficult to have a plot go in any coherent direction.
There's been a lot of questions about Sukebe.
That's a good example. Greyman came up with the name Sukebe but no details. What was he like and why did he do it? i wanted to explore the character and came up with this tragic figure who intended to do good and be this historical 'bringer of the golden age' to mankind. Someone with the best of intentions and a lot of pride who discovered a means of dimensional transport. With the girls he loved slain and his name and reputation slandered and destroyed, the legal institutions and political action committees arrayed against him, he went mad and created the whole pokegirls thing. A lot of which he didn't actually intend because he was back-engineering everything and didn't understand completely the principles behind some of the concepts.
Okay well, we'll throw this out and see if anyone has any other questions.
