At The Start of a Sandwiched New Day

Something looking like a fog sandwich squeezed out of the room and vanished into the morning.A man lay sleeping in a bed,covers pulled up to his chest,which was covered in sandwiches.A digital clock shaped like a sandwich quietly flipped from "7:59" to "8:00" and began to beep.

Jim was asleep,having fallen asleep in the middle of eating a sandwich,when the beeping of the alarm woke him up.He swallowed a few times,getting the bite of sandwich in his mouth down,rolled over,and turned off the alarm.He lay there for a moment,remembering what he was going to do that day.

Then he

  1. remembered it was his girlfriend's birthday,and he was going to make her a sandwich.
  2. decided to finish that sandwich he'd been eating.
  3. realized he was late for his job as a sandwich man.
  4. smiled,because he was sandwiched between two very beautiful women.
  5. became aware that he didn't know just what was in that sandwich he'd been eating.
