"Did I miss anything?" the newcomer asked urgently.
JigSaw-F sighed. "Let me guess," she said. "You're my chaser."
The newcomer beamed. "Right the first time, sister!"
"Geez," muttered JigSaw-F. "Do you think these two have Avatorial powers too, or are they like the first duplicates?"
"We're powerless," Doubler confessed. "The Old Wizard can't duplicate Avatorial powers, just as Dabbler stated. That's why we had to run up instead of 'porting."
"Hey, don't I get a name or something?" JigSaw's chaser asked.
"Soon as we can think of an appropriate pun," said Dabbler-M and Doubler, together.
"Oh the heck with this!" JigSaw-F cried. "Can't we cut to the chase, like I wanted to do seven or eight eps ago? Just take some normal names, you dups!"
"Okay," said JigSaw-M. "Call me Jag!"
"And I'll be Justine," said JigSaw's chaser. "Unless you want to be, that is, JigSaw."
"I'll let you know when I've decided what and where I want to be," JigSaw-F said.
"I think I'll call myself Daphne," said Dabbler-F brightly. "Daphne Blair!"
"I thought Doubler was fine," muttered Doubler. "But if I have to switch, well, I guess I can be Daniel Blair."
"There's already a Daniel Blair," Dabbler-M pointed out.
"Yeah, but he's off in the AddVenture somewhere, and since he and I are both just powerless duplicates of you I figure I can be the local version."
"Fair enough."
Interesting developments, JigSaw-F thought, seeing even more possibilities for pairings sexual and/or permanent than she had seen before the "chasers" had come. Not that it changed the basics of her decision. She knew what she wanted, and what she wanted was...
