"Well, this is different," she said to herself as she examined the contraption. The device was a free-standing metal case with a gun barrel protruding from the front. To the side of that was a large red button and a dial. Her curiosity getting the best of her, Lindsay pushed the button. There was an audible click, followed by a buzzer sound. A display on the other side of the device read 'NO DISC'.
"What does that mean?" Lindsay asked herself, but then she found the answer.
Also in the box was a small, ornate wooden box. Opening that box, Lindsay found many small, round, plastic discs. Each one was divided into fourths, and each quarter of a disk had a different picture. The one that Lindsay held in her hand showed a human-shape in the 1st quarter, a hairy and hunched over human in the 2nd quarter, a very furry human bent over as if walking in four legs in the 3rd quarter, and a wolf in the 4th quarter.
The discs slide into a space behind the dial and, by turning the dial, Lindsay can select a form from the dial. Pushing the big red button fires a energy beam from the gun barrel which causes whoever it strikes to transform into the form on the dial disc. In addition to the wolf disc, the box contains many more discs, each one containing the pictures of a different form. Got it? Good.
