The Doctor and Friends: The Master Has an Idea

The Master was thinking that trying to determine which of the two possible candidates was really Bee and which was the Rani was a bit like the "find the lady" trick as practised by card sharks on the gullible. That there were only two possibilities in this case, rather than three, did not seem to make the problem any easier. Then an idea came to him. As a Gallifreyan, the Rani must have two hearts. If the woman with him was truly Bee then, however good the Rani's make-over of her might have been, he did not believe that she could change something so fundamental as the number of hearts. If this was truly Bee, she would only have the one. How to find out, though? He could hardly ask her: "Do you mind if I feel your chest?"

  1. *Without warning, the Master fells Bee / the Rani with a punch to the jaw. "Well, she did insist it was time for decisive action," he says.
  2. The Master thinks of a rather more subtle way of determining which woman is which.
  3. Before the Master could think of a way of determining how many hearts Bee / the Rani had, Dee asked her: "bee, what's happening to you."
  4. Meanwhile, back with the other group...
