It actually wasn't that much of an idea but being a wealthy man, Dave often found that he didn't really need to think that hard to get out of various situations. Presented with the emerald necklace his jeweler recommended, he was pretty sure the costume would go over just fine. Marjorie was a pretty avaricious woman; she specialized in "wealth management" when she got her degree, she was dating him. That's why he figured that also in his favour was the fact that the Party Girl costume depicted another kind of girl for who wealth was also important.

But just in case Marjorie took a little while to get used to the idea, he hired a courier company to deliver the costume, along with the necklace and to top it off, a bouquet of flowers.

A few hours later, Marjorie closed her office door on the courier and opened the box she received from Dave.
