Instantly, Credensa and Sendula went for their spears. "Hold it," Sid said. "I've been expecting this one. I believe this is my sister-in-law, Jennifer Russell, from Episode 355. If I'm not mistaken, she has some books for us." He rose from the table and went over to his brother's wife to help her up from the floor.
"Who are you?" she asked. "And how do you know me?"
"I'm your husband Ulysses' long-lost brother Sid," Sid replied. "We've met, but obviously not in your reality line -- if I recall correctly, your bust was genetically enhanced in the one in which we were introduced. And I'm very glad you came. We have little to read here but episodes of the BE AddVenture, and therefore the volumes you bear are most welcome."
"Well, you're welcome to them, I suppose. I was just taking them out to be put in with the garage sale things. But where are we, and how did I get here?"
Sid Russell gave her the standard explanation. She was plainly skeptical -- he had started to lose her with that ridiculous "bust expansion" line -- so he looked up and said "Boss?"
Deja Voodoo, understanding his intent, increased her bust three cup sizes, and, since I am not a cruel author, adjusted her clothing to match. This made her an 'E', incidentally, and she was suitably impressed.
After Sid picked her up off the floor again, she proved much more receptive to his explanations. She hardly even batted an eyelash when he introduced Credensa and Sendula as his "wives," and told her where they had come from.
"...and we were just sitting down to supper," Sid concluded. "Since you may be here for some time, would you like to join us?"
Jennifer Russell agreed.
They had barely recommenced eating, however, when some more characters were dumped in their laps. (The adopted choice from the previous episode did specify a plurality of visitors, remember...)
