Preventing War

Unending BE - episode 129238

"This sucks." LE said, "I'm leaving."

Fortunately, LE was able to escape the remote's dangerous mental modification field. Unbeknownst to the remote's users, the remote subtly adjusts its owner over time so that he or she will keep using it.

"You see," Raoul Duke explained to Dr. Hook and his identical twin F-Cup Fitzgerald, "the remote has an unwholesome power that goes to work on its owner immediately. One of these remotes looks after itself, gentlemen. It may slip into someone else's hands treacherously but its keeper never abandons it. As far as I know, Janeane alone in history has ever gone beyond playing and thrown out the remote." "Can't we just throw it away?" Hook asked.

"As for throwing it away," Duke responded, "that was obviously wrong. These remotes have a way of being found."

"Can't you take it?" Hook asked.

"Do not tempt me! I dare not take it, even to keep it safe, unused. The wish to wield it would be too great for my strength."

  1. Bridget Fonda agrees to undertake a quest to take the remote to Uncle Sid's basement to unmake it.
  2. *Hook and Duke decide to take the remote to Imaldris to seek the advice of an important lore master, specializing in strange-looking remote controls.
  3. Janeane Garofalo agrees to undertake a quest to take the remote to Uncle Sid's basement to unmake it.
  4. *Hook and Duke decide that the quest to unmake the remote can only be completed by Hollywood's most innocently delectable starlet...
  5. *Something else happened.
