Johnny looked up at Lisa. He hated the way she glared at him, but understood how she must be feeling. He saw her turn in a huff from the window. The fact that she did not shut the window gave him hope that she was coming down. A few minutes later she walked out of her building and stood on the front step. She crossed her arms again and glared at him. He looked up at her with a contrite expression on his face.
Lisa stood on the porch watching Johnny making himself look pathetic. She slowly started towards him. He did look ridiculous, but she would not give him the satisfaction of her softening her expression. She walked to about five feet from him and stood there, putting most of her weight on her back foot. "Well," she said, "how would you do that to me?" She wanted to say more, but she started to get choked up.
Johnny felt a tear well up in his eye. A woman had never made him cry before. "Look, Lisa, there's absolutley no excuse for what I did. It was just an immature, stupid thing to do. I was in my office when Marina Sirtis came in. We talked, and suddenly she came over and...well, you saw. I mean I was just stunned at first that this famous actress wanted to do that after just meeting me. I...like I said, there's no excuse other than plain stupidity, but I really do want you to know just how sorry I am, and how much I hate the fact that I hurt you in anyway." Johnny felt a tear roll down his cheek followed by another. He looked at Lisa who was also crying.
Lisa looked away down the street then wiped a tear from her eye. She turned back to him and finally regained enough of her composure to speak, "Yeah, it was stupid and immature, but also thoughtless, careless, and totally insensitive." She saw Johnny lower his eyes and nod. "I really like you, Johnny. Our date last night was the best time I've had in a long time. You seemed so...sweet and honest and caring, but now...now you'll have to prove that all over again."
Johnny looked up, "Does that mean you'll give me second chance?"
Lisa broke into a slight smile, "Are these pies here for what I think they're for?"
Johnny smiled, "Whatever you want."
Lisa walked over and selected one. She walked back over to Johnny, and hefted the pie in her hand "Well, it seems rather anti-climatic now. She looked down at the pie and held it steady. She lowered it a bit and sighed. "Yeah, I guess, I'll give you one more chance."
Johnny gave a broad smile, "Thank you, Lisa. You won't regret..." before he could finish, he received a cream pie smack in the puss!
