Richard loads the software onto his pc, and then lays down on his bed to actually read the manual.

"Blah blah blah...boring..." Richard skips ahead of the technical and legal mumbo jumbo. "Aha, the good stuff..." Richard reads the first couple of chapters and then reaches one titled 'Time to get Your Hands Dirty'. Richard follows the instructions for hooking up the webcam, fires up the software, then begins following the included demo.

"Lets see, take picture and import it into the left hand frame. CHEESE! Click! Check. Import included demo1 filters. Check. Read through filter? Nah, lets just apply it and check out what happens...."

1. *Richard is disapointed when nothing appears to happen to his on screen picture.
2. Richard changes his mind and decides to read the filter instructions.
3. Richard watches his image slowly geting to change.
4. *Suddenly the PC is hit with the Mellissa virus.
