"Welcome to the future of the human race," he said. "I am Wilmut Hans. I have invented a serum that will transform a human into a new form with characteristics which will allow them to do things no normal human can do." He shrugged. "Currently limited to animal features; though I will soon be able to design forms to survive on planets other than Earth."
Cathy glared at Wilmut. "So I am to be your guinea pig."
He walked over to a refrigerator and took out a syringe. "Guinea pig? I could turn you into one if you wish."
"No!" Cathy shivered. Have to be careful. He might take anything literally ...
"You have another animal you would prefer? Or maybe some other change?"
"I'd like to stay just the way I am; thanks."
"That option you do not have; my pretty." Wilmut reached into the refrigerator and brought out a different syringe. "Choose or I choose for you."
Cathy swallowed hard. "How much of a change would this ... transformation serum ... cause?"
"The design is fifty percent. A humanoid form of the chosen animal."
"You mentioned other changes?" A pause. "Are these changes ... permanent?"
"Permanent unless one receives the antidote. And you could change sex or ... enhance some part of your body."
