Unending BE - episode 107511
"Sixty years?" Art laughed in amazement at the housekeeper's story. Art had
been master of his new domain for less than an hour, and was interviewing the
staff. Esperanza Garcia, Housekeeper, was the first to appear before him
in his Uncle's old, oak paneled study. Art couldn't say he was disappointed in
his Uncle's tastes in domestics. Esperanza's body would stop traffic if she
was wearing potato sacks. Her bustline was at least 46 inches, and seemed
to defy gravity. Legs up to here, lustrous, black hair falling in satiny
cascades around her smooth, brown shoulders, dark eyes flashing from her
aristocratic face. Her uniform consisted of an off-the-shoulder black silk
minidress and short white petticoats that ended above the elastic tops of
black stockings. A white apron tied around her narrow waist held a feather duster,
and white gloves adorned her hands. Esperanza stood dutifully at attention,
but her eyes regarded Art with a warm, matronly glow. "Oh, yessir, Senor Art,"
her moist lips glided over perfect, pearl-white teeth as she spoke in a deep,
voice, redolent with wisdom and experience, "I came to work here just before
the war, after my husband died." She crossed herself at the mention of her
dead husband. Art shook his head, "Widowed so young." Esperanza smiled
again, "Oh no, Senor Art; Hector died in his sleep. He was 70, God bless
his soul. I was 65 and penniless when your sainted Great Uncle took me into
his home. You see, Hector and I had never had children, and my brother had
died with Villa, so I was all alone in the world." Art could stand it no more.
He drew himself up to his full 5 feet 6 inches and looked up into the Housekeeper's
eyes, past her cavernous cleavage and twin mountains of tan breasts, "Look
here, Esperanza -- Mrs. Garcia -- if you expect me to believe that you are
the senior employee here, and are 125 years old, well, that's..."
Esperanza interrupted, "No, no, Senor. Me, senior employee? No, I'm still
junior to most of the staff. There's Sra. O'dwyer the cook, and Nancy
Bellweather the groundskeeper, they were here long before I came."
- *Art called the rest of the staff into the study to settle this.
- Art excused Esperanza and sat down to puzzle about why his Uncle would employ a madwoman as his maid.
- *Art figured that, crazy or not, Esperanza was worth keeping around, and decided to play along with the gag.
- Something happened to take his mind off the mysterious bombshell in front of him.
