Marjorie Mandelberg stepped off the stone and walked barefoot through the reddish-pink sand to the lip of the depression she had awakened in. As she climbed out of the sand pit, she noticed more of her surroundings. The canel she had glimpsed was empty and dry. Following it with her eye, she saw it led away into the distance towards a huge, unearthly city some miles away.
She had walked only a few steps when she noticed the change in her appearance...

Was she some sort of mercenary or professional assassin?
Her skin was a smooth and hairless olive-green, stretched over a well-muscled yet inhuman frame. She stood atleast eight feet tall andhad four arms, each tapering to a strong hand. She wore a plane harness, from which dangled a long sword, a short sword, a dagger and a pistol of some kind. She raised her hands (all four of them) to her face and felt her unfamilliar features. Her mishapened head was dominated by two eyes set into the sides as opposed to the front, each capable of independent motion. Her ears were more like small, cup-shaped antennae set atop her head, her nose was gone, replaced with two narrow slits set above her mouth. As she felt her mouth, she noticed her teeth were all sharp and fang-like and her lower jaw was dominated by two long, white tusks that curved upwards to terrible points from either side of her mouth. She couldn't even guess what she was...except that she looked like a dangerous opponant!
