Bleary-eyed, he reached over to shut off the alarm clock. Sharon came in, with a tray of food. "Breakfast-in-bed, as promised. How does it feel to be the Grand National Champion of the Ultimate Unending Fanfic Contest?" He massaged his face, wearily, and said; "Feels like I'm going through withdrawal. You wouldn't believe the weird-ass dreams I had, last night!"

Just then, the phone rang (it was next to the clock). Sharon answered it; "Hello? Oh, hi there!" Then, just as suddenly she had smiled, she frowned. She whispered; "It's your Aunt Tessa. She sounds worried about something." Jim moved the tray aside, and took the receiver.

"Jim, is Billy there? I got a call from the principal at his school, and she says he never showed up for homeroom!"
