"I don't have to call you Ms. Mandess backstage?"
"Nah,no need to stick with that stuff.After all,you look like you're close to my age in your current incarnation." She sat down.
"Jim,are you going to introduce us?",Sharon asked,eyeing the newcomer's virtual nudity and remembering plots where she had been dressed similarly.
"Oh,uh,Sharon,this is Melissa Mandess,she's a neighbor of mine in high-school-age plots..."
"She's 29,and works in investments",Rick added.
"Actually,I'm working right now on a separately started plot where I'm a twenty-four-year-old assistant district attorney",Melissa explained."Usually not dressed like this at the office,but a couple of episodes do have that."
Jim concluded,"Melissa,this is Sharon,she has almost as many last names as I do...she's my main girlfriend in plots where I'm an adult."
Melissa nodded.The other young woman who had come in behind her,who was wearing a fairly normal dark business suit that couldn't disguise the remarkable beauty expected of principal female characters in the BE Addventure,though her bosom was at the moment an unexpanded C cup,said,"excuse me,I haven't met anyone here,but I see Melissa and I have some things in common.I'm Marjorie Mandelberg,I'm 24,I'm an M.B.A. and I work in wealth management at Consolidated National Bank when I'm not dressing in sexy costumes and letting them take over my personality bit by bit."
"Sounds fun",Jim said,offering to shake hands as Sharon and Robin glared.Luxentia smiled and tickled Edith and as Prismetta rolled her eyes and Sophia looked away with a knowing smile.Rick and his redhead seemed to be in a private discussion as to how fun that sort of thing really was.
Marjorie politely took Jim's hand and then withdrew and peeled off her jacket,seeing how overdressed she was for the place."Same age,same general looks",she said to Melissa.
"My breasts are the same as yours when unexpanded",Melissa said,nodding."I live in a suburban house next to Jim..."
"I'm in an urban apartment,so that's one difference",responded Marjorie.
"In all the plots we've got we have variously described residences",Sharon interjected.
"Anyway",Marjorie told Melissa,"with the same initials and everything I wonder if we're variations on the same theme?"
"No more than the whole Addventure is,I think",Melissa responded."Let's see,L.E. has written some of my main foundation episodes..."
"Me too!",Marjorie said with emphasis.
"Maybe he's got a thing for girls who look like us,if he's done two."
"More than two,actually",Sophia said,sauntering over to Melissa and Marjorie and shaking hands."He descrbed me rather lavishly on my debut,though I appear to be bosomier than you two are without expansion."
They shared some smiles before Prismetta cut in,"He does plenty of blondes and redheads,to be honest.I can't say that you're the one physical type he writes.Lux and I have a plot tree with no brunettes at all to speak of."
Melissa nodded."I've had a redheaded roommate lately in my recent plot."
"I've worked pretty much solo",Marjorie said."I got my own restarted storyline and people who deal with me don't appear in other plots."
"That can make your continuity a lot easier",Jim said,"though once more authors start piling in and not reading the continuity chains things can still go to pot."
Samantha said,"I don't appear in that many episodes,but some make me a villainess and others just an object of Jim's desire."
Robin snickered."How many women he meets doesn't he get the hots for?"
Jim blushed.
Candace smiled and walked over to Sophia,Melissa,and Marjorie."Gunslinger signed me up for the BE Addventure to begin with",she said."So I'm proof that a very tall and leggy dark-haired beauty doesn't have to come from L.E.'s invention.Of course he's one of the ones who's given me these"...she indicated her now-developed bosom..."since I started out quite flat-chested."
Rick dashed over to be with his in-her-plots girlfriend."Hey,this IS the BE Addventure.If a girl stays flat-chested in these parts we're just not doing our jobs!"
